On the 6 February and 6 March, 2009, imai (inter media art institute) held the workshop "The preservation of video tapes: identify damage, avoid risks, back up data". The one-day seminar was designed to address public and private collections and also institutes for research and training. It included a work unit concerned with typical sorts of damage and in two further content modules explained the principles of restoration and digitisation of video tapes.
