The specific requirements with regard to the questions of the communication, presentation, documentation and conservation / restoration of media art works are a daily theme for collectors, curators, restorers and the artists themselves. There is an increasing need to make media art over and above the concrete exhibition context available for research and training. A regular exchange between experts such as art historians, media scientists and technical experts has begun. The symposium will indicate the need for action and thereby contribute towards initiating new partnerships. |
